SMMC Instrument Rental Program
SMMC’s rental program charges a recurring monthly rental fee on the calendar date you pay your initial rental fee and instrument deposit. The deposit is held for the duration of the rental period and refunded to the customer upon the instruments return after inspection by our service technician.
Upon completing your online transaction, your rental will be placed on hold. You will receive a link via email to fill out our Rental Agreement Form. Upon receiving your completed form, you may pick up your instrument from our Mission location.
A valid credit card will be kept on file to charge the monthly reoccurring payments. Pickup of the instrument must be made by the renter who must present a valid form of ID at the time of pickup. All rentals are billed an additional $8.75/month for insurance coverage which covers any and all repairs including damages that result in a total loss.
Students who take lessons from SMMC can rent the instrument from month to month with no minimum rental period. Rental clients who do not take lessons must meet the minimum rental period of 6 months. Instruments returned prior to meeting the 6 month minimum will be charged the requisite amount to make up the 6 month period.
