This guitar can handle a wide range of styles including jazz, blues, country, Americana and Rockabilly. The top, back and sides of the guitar body are made entirely of maple. The top is carved with two prominent “F” holes like is traditional for archtop guitars. The natural wood gloss finish with creme binding produce a refined look that jazz enthusiasts will find appealing. Chrome hardware with a large “W” tailpiece finish off a very classis looking guitar.
Washburn J3 Jazz Guitar Features
The single cutaway body is bound to a maple neck outfitted with a Graph Tech Nubone Nut. The neck contains 20 frets of rosewood fretboard to produce that warm jazz tone. Mother of Pearl inlays adorn the frets and enhance the guitars classic look. Chrome finished Grover heavy-duty die cast machine heads allow for fine tuning with considerable hold. The guitar comes with Washburn humbucker pickups. Connected to a 3-way switch, the player can select sole use of the top, bottom or combination of the pickups. Each pickup has it’s own volume and tone knob as well. The guitar comes paired with D’Addario EXL light gauge strings that sit atop a floating adjustable bridge. The adjustable bridge allows for setting string height to fine tune the guitars playability to a guitar players preference.
