Viola Model VA-70
Our VA 70 model is a handmade student viola suitable for the beginning violist. These instruments are made with maple for the back, rib and neck while spruce is used for the top. The instrument uses a glossy oil based varnish that stays true to color and does not fade over time. Varnish is applied lightly so as to not restrict the wood’s natural sound. Ebony is used for the fingerboard, chin rest and pegs. A carbon fiber tailpiece with fine tuners is used for ease of tunning. French Despiau maple bridge supporting D’Addario Prelude strings rounds out a well crafted instrument that is enjoyable to play and listen to. The VA 70 comes standard with oblong foam violin case and strap with velour interior and matching blanket. Each case has compartments for rosin, shoulder rest, bow and zippered pockets. The brazilwood bow with natural Mongolian horsehair and ebony frog are also included.
