Violin VL-200: Professional Model

Our VL 200 model is a handmade professional violin suitable for the advanced player.  This instrument crafted after the model of Antonio Stradivari 1716. Carved from highly flamed selected European Maple for the back and Alaskan Spruce for the top. This wood is aged for 15 years, giving it a deep, rich tone and powerful sound. This professional violin projects well in any kind of musical setting. Additionally, the instrument is lightly varnished using antique reddish brown for a superb look that does not restrict the wood’s natural sound.

With beautiful, sandy brown Rosewood for the chin rest, pegs and tailpiece, this violin will certainly impress. While ebony is used for the fingerboard, the bridge is then made from Despiau French Maple. The strings used are Thomastik Infeld Rondo G, D, A strings to produce a warm sound. Conversely, the E string uses Thomastik Infeld Rondo Gold for more brilliance and projection. The VL-200 comes paired with German made Höfner ”A” quality pernambuco violin bow, round stick, 4/4 size. The bow has a nickel-silver mounted ebony frog with single eye, lamb leather lapping and wire winding. Additionally, it contains a solid 1-part button and synthetic tip.

The instrument comes with an upgraded wood shell case instead of a standard foam case, providing added protection and durability. Inside, the case is lined with a soft, silk-like silver paisley patterned fabric and includes a leather instrument tie that keeps the violin securely in place. The interior offers compartments designed to hold rosin, a shoulder rest, and four bows, along with additional exterior zippered pockets for books and sheet music.
