Viola Model VA-80
Our VA 80 model is a handmade student viola suitable for the late beginner to intermediate player. These instruments are made with 8 year aged Alaskan Maple for the back, rib and neck. The top is made of 8 year aged Alaskan Spruce. The instrument is lightly varnished using antique reddish brown for a superb look that does not restrict the wood’s natural sound. Indian Ebony is used for the fingerboard and pegs, carbon fiber tailpiece with fine tuners and is outfitted with a Guarneri style chin rest. French Despiau maple bridge supporting D’Addario Helicore strings rounds out a well crafted instrument that is enjoyable to play and listen to. The VA 80 comes standard with oblong foam violin case and strap with velour interior and matching blanket. Each case has compartments for rosin, shoulder rest, bow and zippered pockets. The brazilwood bow with natural Mongolian horsehair and ebony frog are also included.
