The Washburn C64SCE classical guitar is a full size nylon string guitar. These instruments are perfect options for guitar players looking for a “step-up” instrument or for beginners in search of a quality instrument right from the start. This guitar features a cutaway body to be able to access the higher frets more easily. The top of this instrument is made of solid spruce. Mahogany is used for the instruments back and sides. The lighter colored spruce top against the dark brown mahogany gives the instrument a vintage classical guitar appeal. Most classical guitars are purely acoustic instruments, but not the Washburn C64SCE. This guitar is outfitted with Fishman Classica II preamp/tuner electronics. So not only can you plug this guitar into an amp, it comes with a built in tuner.
As a nylon string instrument, it’s well suited for beginner guitar players. The softer string tension makes it easier to pinch notes unlike their steel string counterparts. Still, the quality and tone of this instrument is good enough to catch the ear of the seasoned guitar player too. A simple Mosaic rosette adorns the soundhole of the instrument. The Washburn logo is displayed on the headstock which is outfitted with classical tuning machines heads. The neck is made of Mahogany and coupled with a 19 fretted fretboard. Mahogany is also used for the bridge and the instrument is outfitted with Graphtech Nubone nut.
We invite you to our Mission showroom to plug this in and give it try. Don’t forget to try one of our other entry level classical guitars, the Chateau C06-08 or the Teton STC-105NT. See you soon!
